Hey SWANCON goers,

One month to go until the convention so here are some updates from the past couple of weeks.

Programming

Our academic program now has formal extracts for you to read here.
This will be the biggest academic program for years so we hope you enjoy it. Big thanks to our academic programmer Chris Creagh for doing such a great job.

Our programmer has been very busy as well. Panellists will be contacted soon, and then a draft program will be out for public consumption within a fortnight!

We are also working with NatCon, Contact 2016 in Brisbane to bring you cross-country panels! Stay tuned for more news about that when the program drops.

Awards

The nominations for the Tin Duck Awards are now closed.
Ballot sheets (when completed) will be available before and during the convention. You must be a member of SWANCON 2016 to vote.

Buy your membership now.

The Ditmars are now open for voting. If you were a member for SWANCON 2015 you are eligible to vote. Go to the attached link to see the nominations and how to vote.

Volunteering

We need people to help with:

- Set Up/Down
- Front Desk
- Games Room
- Welcoming First-timers
- General Needs
- Wrangling minions

If you would like to help, even for one hour, you can volunteer by emailing volunteers-2016@swancon.com.au or click on our volunteer FaceBook event here.

T-shirts

We will have t-shirts at the convention for you to buy. They will be a grey shirt with our logo in blue.
As some members would rather have a black t-shirt, this is a reminder that we have a RedBubble store where you can choose any colour shirt you would like.
Place your order now as shipping may take a couple of weeks.
